A note from Trent...
Mentorship has been life-saving for me, personally and professionally. I've had amazing mentors throughout my life, and I know what it means to have someone in your corner.
I'm starting PrideMentor because connecting LGBTQ+ folks with each other feels like it's needed more than ever. With inclusion and belonging being deprioritized, and companies spending less on DEI, we know that when LGBTQ+ people have support, resources, and people in their corner, we can excel.
I also want us to decouple our identities from our work, even when we love what we do. And mentorship isn't only about work. It's spiritual, creative, financial, physical, social, and professional. It's all of life.
Thanks for following this journey!
xo, Trent
Progress so far...
PrideMentor isn't live yet, but it's moving. Here's what's happened since the idea first got started.
01 / User Research
We surveyed over 1,000 LGBTQIA+ people about mentorship. 93% said they'd use an app built for our community. What they told us shapes every decision we make.
02 / Prototype
A full mobile prototype, from first tap to first match, designed around what people said they actually need. Warm, on-brand, and built to feel like ours.
03 / Build
The real app is being built right now. Sign-in, matching, goals, and community are all taking shape.
